Liability
Spring cleanings can be stressful on your pond environment. PondWorks employees
take every precautionary measure possible to ensure the least amount of disturbance
to the pond environment. However, some issues may arise that are beyond our control
and therefore we cannot take responsibility for these issues.
- Fish
A full cleanout requires that your fish be moved into a temporary holding tank.
Once the cleaning is finished some of the old water used to fill the temporary tank
will be pumped back into the pond. The amount pumped back into the pond will depend
on how dirty the water is. It is very important to get some of the old water back
into the pond because it not only helps in acclimating the fish but also contains
beneficial bacteria which will help restart the ecosystem. Unfortunately, transferring
the fish may stress the fish and has the potential to cause health issues and/or
death of your fish. PondWorks employees will make every effort to make a smooth
stress free transition for the fish but will not be responsible for any fish/pond
health issues or death resulting from our spring cleaning.
- Pond Surroundings
PondWorks employees take great care in minimizing the damage to any pond plants
or the surrounding landscape during our visits. However, high pressure water is
used to clean the pond and reasonable access to the pond is required. Please inform
us of any special requests prior to our arrival. PondWorks assumes no responsibility
for any damages that may occur to your pond plants or surrounding landscape during
our visit.
- Pond Cleaning
The process of cleaning out the pond includes draining the pond, pressure washing
the liner and rock, and vacuuming out the debris. String algae will be removed from
the rocks. The pond will not be spotless but will give it a fresh healthy start
at the beginning of the pond season.
- General Liability
PondWorks assumes no responsibility for any issues/problems that can not be directly
related to the service that our technicians have provided. Example: We perform a
spring cleaning and get the pond running. A week goes by and the customer notices
there is a leak. The leak could have been caused by numerous things not directly
associated with the service we provided. Most common cause, the freeze/thaw of winter
has caused the rock to shift which in turn caused the liner to move allowing water
to flow out. This will require and additional visit and will be charged accordingly.
Scheduling
Please indicate (above) the approximate Month you would like service. If you have
an exact date/time that you would like to be scheduled please contact PondWorks
office. Once the schedule is made you will receive a call with the exact date. We
will do our best to accommodate your requested dates but we cannot guarantee that
we can fulfill those requests.
New Payment Terms As Of 2011
All balances are due within 30 days of invoiced date unless stated otherwise by
PondWorks. A monthly reoccurring 2% interest charge will be assessed to any overdue
balances that are not paid in full. Spring services will not be scheduled until
all outstanding balances are paid in full.
After submitting this form PondWorks staff will respond to you with an email that
includes the pricing for selected services, for your approval.
"Our pond plans presented Brian with quite a challenge. We had chosen a spot nestled in an existing grove of Rhodendrons and a precious old Red Maple. The Pondworks team came in and dug the pond, laid the pipes for the bottom drains and skimmers, and laid positioned the liner without so much as a broken branch... The real craftsmanship came with the rock work. Large and indigeneous rocks were artfully placed around the pond to complete the natural setting. Thank you Brian, for building this beautiful pond..."
