Set just off Mecox Bay and the Atlantic ocean, this former farmland was transformed into an environmental oais. The project consisted of the complete construction of 2 ponds, and island pool, spa and several adjacent structures. Ruddicks design has two ponds cradling an island, complete with pool and spa. The adjacent poolhouse appears to float over the upper pond. PondWorks was involved with the design and planning of the ponds as well as their construction. The ponds catch much of the site water and are circulated by several high-efficiency pumps. The water passes through carefully designed constructed wetlands integrated into the pond edges in serveral locations.

"Our pond plans presented Brian with quite a challenge. We had chosen a spot nestled in an existing grove of Rhodendrons and a precious old Red Maple. The Pondworks team came in and dug the pond, laid the pipes for the bottom drains and skimmers, and laid positioned the liner without so much as a broken branch... The real craftsmanship came with the rock work. Large and indigeneous rocks were artfully placed around the pond to complete the natural setting.
